Description:
We completely gutted and refurbished this 4000 square-foot former home of a noted Chicago columnist, retaining only the wonderfully constructed bookcases in the living room. We employed a mix of traditional forms with updated styling flourishes, creating a formal, yet comfortable atmosphere. Located high above Chicago's famed Gold Coast, the layout makes the most of a breathtaking view of Lake Michigan.
Design Concepts:
Infuse new life into a 30-year-old condominium while preserving its feel as a site of contemporary Chicago history.
